Notes From Inside My Head

At the respective ages of 49 and 40, my husband (the frog) and I, two sane adults who had never before given a single thought to becoming parents, decided we ‘may as well give it a go’. This meant getting pregnant which it turns out is like living in another body, in another country on, effectively, another planet… who knew. Nine months later our little potato came bobbing up into our living room and two of the most reluctant parents ever to agree to give birth were suddenly completely and utterly subjugate to his every whim.  He is now 3.  Blogging about it is, I suspect, cheaper than counselling.
